Not interested...I NEVER thought i`d see this again.<br />Not interested in Bolan at all I remember rushing back from school to see the `Hawks`.I`d just bought the album. In those days you didn`t often see your favourite band actually playing.katehumblesbadgerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16639788341118614242noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4599597066100808433.post-13688167109959709652017-04-04T16:09:23.536+01:002017-04-04T16:09:23.536+01:00Quite right... missed that one! It's a shame Calvert left because he would certainly have taken Hawkwind in an interesting direction in the 80's,a lot of his work presaged the new technology that would become all encompassing in the new decade. Brock's Hawkwind became more mystical and fantasy orientated, but the live shows continued to be excellent entertainment, both musically and visually. Why did Calvert leave Hawkwind? probably due to work stresses and the need to be recognised in his own right for the great poet and songwriter that he undoubtedly was, although he unfortunately never gained the recognition that he richly deserved.Zendadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15938597688138353178noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4599597066100808433.post-20962056211230259442016-11-21T19:48:19.458+00:002016-11-21T19:48:19.458+00:00Spot on! Maybe label pressure left DB thinking that at least 3 of the tunes were good enough and that it would have to do.
